Please join us in reading Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates. We’ll meet together via Zoom to share what we have learned through the book. We’ll also share with each other our personal commitment to taking meaningful action in helping to combat racism.

About the Author, Ta-Nehisi Coates:
Ta-Nehisi Coates is a distinguished writer in residence at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. He is the author of the bestselling books The Beautiful Struggle, We Were Eight Years in Power, and Between The World And Me, which won the National Book Award in 2015. His first novel, The Water Dancer, was released in September 2019. Ta-Nehisi is a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship. About the instructor: Jodi Boone
Jodi Boone is a yoga teacher at Be Luminous and an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Her passion for yoga led her to study Ayurveda. She lived in India for many years, where she formally studied Ayurveda. She also worked for Bastyr Natural Health Center’s Ayurvedic Sciences Department for many years as an Ayurvedic Therapist. Today, she has her own private Ayurveda practice in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle.
