Join Reese and Stephen online for a two hour, evening extended practice

Candlelight Solstice Yoga is a gentle, deeply-relaxing and restorative practice to bring in the new season of summer, setting new intentions and bringing in the light of the abundant season on the longest day of the year. We will gather via internet connection and be led through an accessible set of grounding yoga asanas (poses), a deeply relaxing ”yogic sleep” guided meditation (aka yoga nidra) and end with a long restorative rest (Savasana).

We will provide the teacher-led yoga.

You provide the setting in your own home: even a small space can work, roughly the size of a yoga mat with room to move safely works! Mat, props and candles are optional!

All are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Date & Time: Saturday, June 20th from 6:30-8:30 pm

Cost: $20
(as needed: Sliding scale option $12)

About the instructor: Stephen Hartnett & Reese McGillie

Stephen Hartnett

I first came to practice yoga at the gym I was going to in 2001. I had been attending this water aerobics class there and the instructor was also a new yoga teacher so he encouraged me to check out his class and I guess I was ‘hooked on yoga’ after that. I had always been curious about yoga and wanted to see what all the buzz was about. After about a year or so of doing classes with that teacher, Matt Meko, I then discovered Lotus Yoga and started practicing at Lotus Yoga.

Reese McGillie

Reese McGillie completed her 200 HR yoga teacher training program in April of 2017 through 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle. Reese has been practicing yoga regularly since 2013 and has been teaching yoga since the winter of 2016.
A class with Reese will typically be focused on building strength and optimal alignment to cultivate a sustainable practice. She incorporates the use of breath and mindfulness to create a sense of moving meditation throughout the class. Reese’s strong values around creating safe and inclusive space for all is reflected in her choice of teaching venues and style.
Reese draws heavily on energetic yoga styles including Vinyasa sequencing but also enjoys incorporating slower strength building transitions and grounding poses from the Iyengar style.
