This four-week course will introduce some of the deities, sages, and epic stories that bring yogic philosophy to life. Each class will feature a lecture/discussion where Douglas will share stories, artwork, music, and history, followed by a short physical practice that will allow participants to embody what they’ve just heard through yoga, Indian martial arts, and Indian classical dance. This series is for anyone interested in the mythology and history of yoga or the Indian arts that have influenced its development as a spiritual and physical practice. All you will need is comfortable clothing, a comfortable seat, and little room to move.
