Our 200-hr Teacher Training Curriculum Includes:
✓ Advanced study of asana: alignment, benefits, risks, adjustments for different kinds of bodies and practices
✓ A dedicated weekend spent learning anatomy
✓ Deep dive asana (posture) clinics; learn the nitty-gritty details that make up any given yoga posture
✓ How to design and skillfully sequence an appropriate class to any level of yoga student
✓ How to structure a creative, safe, impactful, and inspiring vinyasa yoga class
✓ The importance of observation – seeing students bodies moving and learning from them
✓ Learn safe hands-on adjustments and the importance of verbal cuing
✓ How to use props to improve, modify, or make postures more safe & accessible
✓ Find your voice and understand what this means as a teacher
✓ Build confidence through practice teaching in private and group settings
✓ In-depth lessons on yoga history and philosophy and how it applies to modern yoga in the West
✓ Sanskrit names of postures and understanding the importance and appropriateness
✓ Learning and understanding the different styles of vinyasa, hatha, and yin yoga

Thursdays: 4 – 8PM (online*)
Saturdays: 7AM – 7PM (in-person)
Sundays: 7AM – 5PM (in-person)
*First Thursday of the training is in-person.

About the instructor: Tate Englund
As a E-500RYT, Tate’s classes are challenging, yet accessible, where he blends alignment, strength & mindfulness to get his students to truly understand what is happening in their body at that moment. His clear, concise verbal cuing allows for students to move into, hold, and move out of postures safely and successfully. Tate’s teaching has a focus on creating better balance between strength and flexibility for a long term, sustainable yoga practice.
His primary teacher is Jason Crandell.
Based in Seattle, Tate has thousands of hours teaching public classes, hosting retreats & leading workshops, teacher trainings and yoga immersions through his yoga school. You can practice with him online using his YouTube channel where you’ll find a library of classes and tutorials.
