Online Teacher Training with Ellie Rose

Āyurveda means “the wisdom or science of life,” and is the 5000 year old natural medicine of India. Yoga and Āyurveda are not “sister sciences” as many authors and teachers have explained; they were never meant to be separated. Āyurveda uses the practices of yoga (asana, pranayama, meditation, self-study, ethical living) as therapeutic tools to bring harmony, balance, and vitality to the mind/body and spirit.

Join Ellie Rose, Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, E-500 RYT, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider as we dive into the fundamentals of the art and science of Āyurveda and how they can support you in taking your teaching and understanding of your students (and yourself) to a whole new level of health and healing.

This module is for everyone including those who have had little or no experience with Ayurveda.

There will be a related Teachers Practicum on Sunday, July 11; separate registration is required.

What will we do?
Explore the philosophy from which Āyurveda arose
Study the basic principles based upon that philosophy including the 5 elemental theory, the doshas, and balancing the doshas
Learn how to create, sequence, and teach practices that balance the doshas in your students
Celebrate Mother Nature with a profoundly illuminating perspective on how we are absolutely interconnected and entwined with one another

Who this module is for?
Yoga teachers who would like to deepen their understanding of Āyurveda and enrich their classes and personal practice by integrating Āyurvedic principles
Yoga students desiring to know more about Āyurveda and how it can support your practice, health, and appreciation of Nature and her healing capacities
