Meditation is a widely utilized contemplative practice that supports our mental, physical, and emotional bodies.  Through the cultivation of awareness, we can increase access to and clarify our relationship with how we feel and respond to the inevitable discomforts and changes in life.  It can have meaningful influence in the way we meet life’s challenges as well as the moment to moment experience of living.

This course aims to move meditation beyond a concept or buzz word. A basic look at meditation including comfort, concentration, breath, and mindfulness techniques will be offered. We will address questions and difficulties that arise from our practice to make it more accessible. The hope is to support students in building a solid foundation to continue their meditation practice.

We suggest comfortable clothing. No prior meditation practice required.
