The Second Course Meets 6 Friday Mornings at 5:30am-6:45am, from July 31st-September 4th, 2020.
The Third Course Meets 6 Friday Mornings at 7:00am-8:30am, from September 4th-October 9th, 2020.
The Fourth Course Meets 6 Friday Mornings at 5:30am-6:45am, from September 11- October 16, 2020.

We will not be offering pranayama again until next April 2021!

In the first part of each session, workshop participants will have a chance to learn and experience several of the most effective restorative poses which draw your mind inward, open your chest and prepare the mind and body for the subtle yet powerful practice of pranayama. These are simple yet profound relaxation poses for your nervous system.

Many of these poses are gentle supported backarches on bolsters or specialized yoga pillows and can be practiced of common blankets. You will need to have 3-4 Good, Firm Blankets at home for this class.

In the second part of each class session, students will learn and experience several beginning pranayama (yoga breathing) exercises. The purpose of the course is to help students understand and help build a pranayama practice.

Pranayama is a part of yoga practice where the breathing is done consciously and deliberately to awaken its potential, to develop our capacity for concentration, to soothe the mind, and to revitalize our energy pools. There are many pranayamas to learn, just as there are many different asanas that we practice.

Few instructors teach pranayama in Seattle, often because they don’t have a regular pranayama practice or they just don’t know enough about this important aspect of yoga.

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn some basics from 1 of the Northwest’s most experienced Yoga Teachers. Please sign up early! Space is extremely limited. Class is Online Live using Zoom.

Fee: $210. Both courses starting on Sep 4th & Sep 11th are on special this week through Sunday night August 23 for $150.

This course is only offered a few times a year. Please don’t eat for at least 2 hours before the class.

No Make-ups are available
