Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest® Yoga Nidra is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and well-being.
Its practice is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in your body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognize your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

The Friday night iRest® Yoga Nidra class is a nourishing way to start your weekend. By practicing iRest we grow our ability to become kinder, more curious humans. When we are in harmony with ourselves this changes our experience of the world. We become more at ease, less reactive to life, and more responsive to the others around us.

What to expect:
There will be a short lecture, a BodySensing movement practice, and a full iRest Yoga Nidra practice.  BodySensing has also been referred to as Non-dual Yoga or Kashmiri Yoga and is a meditative practice that uses movement as a way to connect with ourselves and to open into peace, well-being, and our inherent wholeness. When practicing BodySensing movement, we are essentially doing iRest in motion, in this way we begin to embody these teachings so that we may bring them out into the world with us.

The full iRest practice will be recorded and made available via email to the participants.
All levels of experience are welcome
Preregistration is required for this class
Please bring comfortable clothes that will keep you warm and perhaps a pillow for extra coziness!

About the instructor: Jennifer Cabanero

_Jennifer Cabanero

Jennifer has trained extensively with Dr. Miller in the art and craft of iRest® Yoga Nidra. She works as a Senior iRest Teacher Trainer and as a Certification Supervisor for the Integrative Restoration Institute (IRI) an educational non-profit, that provides programs, teacher trainings, and retreats based on the ancient teachings of Yoga. Come to her Tuesday morning or Wednesday night classes to find out more about this profound practice of restoration and self-inquiry.
She has also been inspired by the teachings of Donna Farhi, Gary Kraftsow and loves playing with Developmental Movement Patterns, Somatics, and Continuum.

Jennifer’s students describe her as wise, approachable, intuitive and supportive. She infuses her classes with poetry, chanting and with a profound insight into the workings of the body and the nature of the human spirit.
She encourages connecting the breath with sensation, moment to moment, so that the poses arise from an inner wisdom rather than an outer form imposed upon the body. It is her goal to teach a balanced class so that each student leaves feeling energized, centered, and ready to transition into their daily lives.
