The word radical comes from the word root. To pull up the roots of injustice, to be radical, takes energy and strength. To engage in social justice work, we all need to balance our outward action by resourcing and nourishing our bodies, minds, and hearts.

Lay Down to Rise Up is a restorative yoga practice with Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) that allows you to come home to yourself and feel the collective connections to each other. Lay Down to Rise Up is a time to pause, to reflect, to nourish, to nurture, and to go within. It is a time to marinate, to reset, to unplug from our external and our internal devices. Our big beautiful brilliant brains are often plotting, Zooming, and planning, and they need a rest. This practice is about calming and turning down the over stimulated nervous system

As we all navigate a multiplicity of crises, this is Mary’s offering to thank her beloved community for engagement and presence. Mary will support you in cultivating deep kind listening to your beloved bodies.

Please dress comfortably, bring blankets, pillows, an open mind, and an appetite for deep relaxation.

Online of course!

Free and open to all!
