Step back for a moment to settle inwards and set your intentions. Guided journaling+a fiery flow will sow Your seeds for the upcoming year!

Intentions

This 75 min practice is guided and offered with the intention of providing You the time and space to set intentions and shake off anything that no longer serves YOU.

Rather than setting New Years Resolutions which can often bring excess pressure and shame, this class is focused on releasing weight off the body so that You feel brighter and freer energetically, mentally, spiritually, and physically. My hope is that You begin to step further into Your Highest and Authentic Self for the New Year.

About the instructor: Madeleine Bong

Madeleine BongI was introduced to yoga at a young age. Therefore, I have been fortunate to be surrounded with a family of yogis but I found my personal passion for the practice after suffering from a spinal compression fracture in early 2017. Yoga healed the physical, emotional, and mental pain from my injury, but my love for the practice grew when I found it was helping my relationship with myself and others.

My mission is to guide practitioners in self-inquiry to cultivate self-compassion and empathy for Mother Nature and all beings through movement, breath, and meditation. By doing so, I envision a world of growing awareness and mindfulness from a space of safety, love, and joy. My aim is to provide a safe space for all beings. I acknowledge the uniqueness of one’s experience and therefore teach from a trauma informed lens. This means, but is not limited to: offering variations, open communication, consent before touch, and finding the right practice for You.

I am originally from California, USA but I completed my 200 Hr TT in Melbourne, Australia and am currently working on an additional 250 Hr TT. I have studied and continue to study under the guidance of various teachers such as Duncan Parviainen, Leigh Roy Houghton, Amy Leonard-King, and Gena Kenny.

I acknowledge the necessary growth within the yoga community and stand with BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. My hope is to continue educating myself and becoming more aware to offer a safe space for ALL.
