Retrain your breath for better health

Develop a new understanding of what it means to breathe beyond your basic inhale/exhale.

We breathe 25,000 times per day; how we breathe makes a big difference in our health. Breathwork practice allows you to change the body’s autonomic nervous system response in a positive way. Making small adjustments in the way we breathe can have extraordinary downstream effects on our lives.

Pranayama is the fourth limb in Patanjali’s Eight-Limbed Ashtanga; prana refers to the universal life force and ayama means to regulate or lengthen. Many people these days are familiar with the third stage, asana, the physical postures. This workshop is a bridge to experiencing the next level, a world of yoga that is more subtle, more inward, more intuitive.

This course is a journey of self-development and is mainly practical. Here are the Key Focus Areas:
1. Pranayama fundamentals
2. Balancing and calming the Pranas
3. Retraining the breath and learning seven new breath techniques
4. Releasing anger and frustration
5. Purifying and warming breaths to increase digestive fire
6. Working with Anxiety
7. Strengthening lung capacity
8. Exploring the pineal gland
9. Retaining your breath for longer holds

Please come to each practice with an empty stomach and wearing loose comfortable clothing, We recommend a cushion or block for sitting.
