[Live Streamed] Group Sadhana (Daily Meditation Practice) with Julie Hsu

A sadhana is a daily, consistent spiritual practice that leads the practitioner closer to Truth. Our sadhana practice that we will take on together will be 40 days of meditation with a relevant mantra (potent phrase repeated silently) using a mala (string of beads used primarily for counting). Our first get together will be a bit longer than the other sessions. The first class will include guidance on setting up for meditation, practicing using a mala, and utilizing mantra in meditation. We will then move into the meditation practice together.
After the first session together, we will meet once a week with an additional practice together on the final 40th day. These sessions will include a check in, centering and focusing pranayama (breathwork), and our meditation together. In between our group sessions, it is expected that you will take on the meditation on your own each day as a consistent, daily practice to get the full benefit from the sadhana.
With the challenges of life these days especially, it is even more important to take on practices like this that get us in tune with the calm and peace within. This series will be a wonderful blend of work on your own and with your fellow practitioners in our group meditations – both very powerful in their own way. It will lay the foundation for you to possibly take on other sadhana practices as you feel appropriate.
It will be important to have a 108-bead-mala of your own before the first session. Please do not hesitate to contact Julie at email@example.com if you need help figuring out what to get and where to look!

✓ 5 Monday evening Zoom meetings: Mondays, 9/28 – 10/26, 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
✓ Final zoom gathering: Friday, 10/30 at 7:00 p.m.
Note, first meeting will be 90 minutes, the remaining meetings will be 60 minutes.

About The Instructor: Julie Hsu
Julie has been practicing yoga since 2003 and completed a 200 hour teacher training in the Pranakriya tradition with Yoganand Michael Carroll in 2008. Julie’s desire to continue to learn from Yoganand led her to complete advanced 500 hour certification in 2011 and she has been teaching Pranakriya yoga for over 9 years. Recently, Julie completed a 300-hour training under Dr. David Frawley and became an Ayurvedic Life-Style Consultant.
Julie is known in the Seattle community for her gifts at weaving ancient yogic teachings into her classes in accessible and deeply transformative ways.
