Please join Starr Sanborn (Certified Yoga Therapist) for this 4-week online series aimed at giving you the tools you need to reduce low-back pain.

Starr will utilize “The Essential Low Back Program”, based on the National Institute of Health (NIH)-funded clinical study. This study showed that 78% of the participants experienced a significant reduction in pain levels. This program offers a beacon of hope and clinically, scientifically proven relief.

During the 4-week program, Starr will guide you through a therapeutic form of yoga. It will include carefully sequenced postures, combined with breathing practices to relieve chronic pain, reduce stress, and restore health and vitality.

Schedule: Jan. 23rd – Feb. 13th, 2021 @10am – 11:30am

Tuition: $115 Space is limited and pre-registration is required. This series is offered by Starr Sanborn: C-IAYT, ELBP, RYT 500, Buteyko Breathing Educator and Sonia Weirich: C-IATY, E-RYT 500.

About the instructors: Starr Sanborn & Sonia Weirich

Starr Sanborn

Starr is a long­time practitioner of Viniyoga. As a teacher, Starr adapts the practice to the unique conditions, needs and interests of each student. Her classes focus on breath, alignment and self-awareness. She teaches with compassion and a true understanding of chronic pain. Starr is a an Essential Yoga Therapy 500 hour Certified Yoga Instructor, and is certified to teach the Essential Low Back Program., and certified in Yoga and Scoliosis.

Starr currently teaches Yoga for Healing at Yoga Bliss, as well as gentle Viniyoga and mindfulness to the staff at Swedish Hospital in four locations throughout the greater Seatle area. She is certified to teach the Essential Low Back Program and treatment of Scoliosis. She sees clients privately in-home and at Yogabliss, and finds it very rewarding to help others with chronic health conditions, and stress reduction through the practice of yoga.

Starr Sanborn specializes in therapeutic yoga & chronic pain management. She is certified as an Essential Low Back Program Instructor, EYT & RYT 500hr.

 

Sonia WeirichSonia Weirich is a 500hr E-RYT yoga instructor, yoga therapist in training and educator with 15yrs of experience. She participates in a renunciate study program with her non-dual Guru, and she also holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate.

These combined experiences provide the unique energy and perspective that Sonia brings to her classes and individual client sessions. Through the transformational art of applied yoga, Sonia helps students and clients deepen their awareness and broaden their perspective in body, emotion, mind and spirit.
