[Live Streamed] How to Undo Your Zoom Body with Nancy Burtenshaw
November 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
One event on Nov 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm
This is a two-part workshop. You can register for just one session if you can’t make it to both.
Part 1 – Lower Body:
Open your hips in a 360-degree fashion: That is the front (quads and hip flexors), the inner groin (adductors) and the outer hip and glutes (like the piriformis and IT Band), as well as releasing tension and tightness above and below the line of the hips (like the hamstrings and low back that take a hit from over-sitting). Leave with a couple of easy-to-do stretches/openings that you can do anytime.
It’s good to remember that there is always a link between the state of your body and the state of your emotions. When your body is tight, and contracted it feeds into anxiety and frustration and makes you less efficient. Change that paradigm and reclaim your body!
Part 2 – Upper Body
As a by-product of this pandemic, we are living inside another one: Being online all the time. From working to socializing, we are now sitting for long stretches of time in positions that are relatively fixed in our upper bodies including our shoulders, neck, head and eyes. We forget that we are hard-wired as moving creatures and as 3-D human beings.
Enjoy learning some useful stretches, exercises and movement patterns that you can incorporate in your day (turn off you video and take a breather) keeping you refreshed and productive.
