Stress, anxiousness, and fatigue are feelings we all encounter at various times throughout our lives. But, during these uncertain and unprecedented times, it’s likely that these experiences are heightened leading us to feel drained physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This 1.5 hour workshop aims to envelop you in a sustainable sense of calm. Through gentle movement, yin & restorative yoga poses, breath work, and a yoga nidra practice, we will unwind the nervous system and transition out of our “fight or flight” stress response.

“Fight or flight” is a natural physiological response to stress and uncertainty. The sympathetic nervous system governs this response. In contrast, the parasympathetic nervous system maintains our body’s homeostasis and balance, promoting “rest & digest”. This workshop aims to move you from “fight or flight” into “rest and digest” so you can relax, restore, and be more at ease.

This workshop will include:
A well-rounded yoga practice that incorporates yin poses to unwind layers of holding in the body. These practices unravel feelings of physical tension, holding, and tightness.
Breathwork practices to promote physical release and allow the nervous system to settle into a deeper state of calm.
Yoga Nidra, a profound practice that simulates the brain waves that you find when you experience a good, deep sleep. This is a supine guided meditation that helps combat feelings of fatigue and restlessness.
This workshop will give you the tools you need to promote your health & wellness so that you may be an advocate for your own wellbeing during this stressful time.
