[Live Streamed] Home Yin & Restorative Immersion with Julie Hsu
August 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm| $25
This is an online workshop
We are in a challenging time right now, and it is more important than ever to lean into practices that help us to remain centered. This immersion will help you access that deep center of peace that is always present, just sometimes forgotten.
In this extended practice, we will utilize simple props from around your home to give you support during our blended yin and restorative practice. A yin practice involves holding deep stretches at a manageable edge for minutes at a time (generally 2-5 min). Although props are not required for this type of practice, they can be helpful. Restorative yoga is traditionally thought of as postures that use props extensively to support the body during deep relaxation.
We will use a few blankets, a strap/belt/bathrobe tie, blocks/thick books, and a firm cushion/pillow/bolster to support the body during these poses in our simplified restorative practice.
The asana portion of the immersion will be framed by other meditative practices. We will have an extensive pranayama and kriya practice at the beginning to settle the mind. A partially guided meditation will bring the practice to a close, allowing you to move back into life being strongly grounded in this peace within.
Date & Time: Aug. 2nd, 2020 @6:30pm-8:30pm
