Grief can be sparked by any loss or significant change in our lives. Common examples include: chronic illness, terminal diagnosis, divorce, job loss, a significant move, and of course, death of a loved one or pet. Yoga for Grief and Emotional Liberation offers a practice that is not focused on physical flexibility. As a certified Grief Yoga™ teacher, Julee provides a safe space to guide you through a highly accessible physical experience.

Using movement, breath, and sound you will create compassionate transformation through feeling into the grief with the goal of releasing struggle and pain. Creating the space of releasing that which is not serving you, allows the love aspect of your grief to radiate more clearly.

These classes offer gentle movement and meditative practices that can be adapted to most abilities. It is possible for students to fully participate from a chair or even lying down. No experience necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Saturdays, April 18-May 2nd , 2020 4 – 5 pm

About The Teacher: Julee Yokoyama

Julee Yokoyama

Julee Yokoyama is the founder of Here As Love, offering herself as a loving presence to those experiencing grief or facing end of life. A central component of her work is through the practice of Grief Yoga™, which invites the practitioner to utilize their body as a tool for grief exploration and healing. Creating opportunity to release the issues in the tissues, if you will. In addition to Yoga, Julee believes in the power of nature as a healer and in creating sacred ceremony and ritual to channel the love that is our grief into a personalized symbol of reverence. Her mission is to educate, hold space, and be a voice in removing the stigma around grief and death. We are one and the same. We are all in this together.
