The Center For Yoga of Seattle offers 2 options for those who have completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training to earn a 500 hour credential:

  1. The Weekend Option: 12 three day weekend trainings starting on April 3,2015 which allows students to assimilate the material.
  2. The Immersion Option: 3 week Immersions taken in August 2015 and August 2016.

Richard Schachtel has been giving yoga teacher training classes since 1986 and has influenced many yoga teachers around the US and Abroad.

Richard has been a close student of BKS Iyengar (Light on Yoga) and Geeta S. Iyengar (Yoga: a Gem For Women) for over 30 years. His 20 yoga study trips to India have helped make him one of the most knowledgeable teachers of yoga in general and Iyengar Yoga in particular in this area.

Richard is the Founder & Director of The Center For Yoga of Seattle in Ravenna.

Iyengar Yoga is known for it’s exacting focus on alignment, its ability to make yoga accessible to a wide range of student populations(of ages, body types, physical conditions, injuries,and more), it’s development of whole body strength as well as flexibility, it’s wide range of practices from dynamic practice sessions, to restorative yoga, to yoga therapeutics,as well as for the high quality of its teachers.

You do not have to be an advanced practitioner to be in this training. An advanced 300 hour training means a course where you will learn things in more depth and subtlety that one could be expected in learn in a foundational 200 hour course.
