2020 Orcas Island Wellness Retreat with Joanna Dunn and Liz Ryen

Fill your weekend with good food, relaxing yoga, challenging new classes, and outdoor activities! Doe Bay at Orcas Island is filled with walking trails, views of the sound, and kayaks for anyone up for a paddling adventure.

Doe Bay boasts beautiful wooden cabins that come with access to community hot tubs that overlook the bay. While at this retreat, expect to leave the world behind and immerse yourself in mediation and restorative yoga practice.
Join Joanna Dunn and Liz Ryen on a retreat that will energize your body, clear your mind, and motivate you with this healthy, mindful experience. Your days will be filled with a variety of classes, from sunrise meditation to boot camp workouts. Meals, activities, and lodging are included.

joanna-dunnJoanna Dunn

A yoga teacher since 2001, Joanna’s background is eclectic. She teaches a variety of styles, including beginner level alignment, a Level 2 slow paced Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative as well as somatic movement and meditation. Her teaching is influenced by Iyengar-based teachers, Judith Lasater (Restorative yoga), Kathryn Payne (Pranayama) and Theresa Elliott (alignment, sequencing, and Vinyasa). Her primary influences from her early studies also include choreographed multidimensional vinyasa of Lynn Kingston and the accessible, gentle yoga of Kripalu. Joanna is currently studying with Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga. Prajna fuses traditional yoga practices (Ashtanga and Iyengar) with the energy body wisdom of yoga and Chinese Medicine, Meditation of Buddhism and somatic movement of Feldenkrais and Hanna.

Liz-RyenLiz Ryen

Liz graduated from Central Washington University with a BS in Exercise Science and a minor in French. During her college career, she worked in a plyometrics training program while competing in track and field for the University. As a certified ASCM and AFAA Personal Trainer, she specializes in sport specific athletic training, special populations, core stability, and weight loss management. An avid climber, cyclist, hiker, and snowboarder, Liz loves outdoor activities and the ability to share those interests with others. Her goal is to continue promoting health education that offers improvement in overall quality of life to both herself and to the community.
