Prepare for the big moment with yoga! Explore and learn how yoga offers ways to support labor and childbirth. We will dive into some accessible movements to do with one another, talk over what you are excited about and nervous about as the big day arrives with your partner. Emily brings her knowledge of yoga and teaching to pregnant bodies. Crystal brings her expertise and experience as a doula!

This workshop is open to all pregnant people with their support person which may be for example a family member, friend, or a doula. Generally recommended for 2nd trimester and later but all our welcome. Workshop is geared to be fun, informative, potential for a great “date” night for couples, and a great way to connect with your support person. All levels welcome! New to yoga? Great! Preregistration is recommended as we have limited space.

What to Expect in Class: Positive affirmations; time to be connected with the body and breath; awareness of alignment and fills classes with ways to honor where your body and mind are on that day. All yoga classes end with a moment to reflect on gratitude. Due to her experience teaching privates and special populations she has a sharp eye for precision and knowledge to modify and adjust if chronic or acute pain or unique needs are present.

Biggest Influences/Inspirations/Styles: Ayurveda, Marie Jose Blom, Buddhist Meditation, Pilates, rehabilitation, yoga therapy, healing, and finding the calm in our stressful, modern life. Emily is currently teaching Pilates Tone & Stretch Reformer, as well as Warm and Non-heated Yoga classes – including prenatal yoga and mother-baby yoga classes – and is available for Private Sessions!
