Partner Prenatal Yoga with Rebekah Papé and Megan Sloan
Jun 9, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm| $55
Prepare for birth through yoga! This partner workshop is open to pregnant people and their partners (partner can mean anyone: spouse, partner, doula, friend, or anyone who will be providing birth support during childbirth) and to all levels of yoga experience. No prior yoga instruction necessary.
Taught by various 8 Limbs Prenatal instructors over the course of the year, each workshop will have its own flavor, but all will offer you the opportunity to explore the intersecting pathways of support during labor and childbirth and yoga. Partner Prenatal Yoga will offer the opportunity to explore the physical practice of yoga through warm-up poses and partner yoga poses. The session will also include yoga practices such as breath and meditation as an opportunity to find connection and support.
Through thought provoking questions, simple massage, and time to share one-on-one with your partner, you will also be given the chance to touch in to your expectations, excitements and fears about your upcoming birth experience and becoming a parent (or becoming a parent again!). Pre-registration is recommended as these workshops often fill and are limited in size to make room for partner yoga.
While this workshop may be more applicable for those late in their 2nd trimester and into their 3rd trimester, all are welcome as it works with your schedule. Plan to join us for Partner Prenatal Yoga during your pregnancy––a great “date” for couples and also a wonderful way to connect with someone on your birth support team.

Rebekah encourages students to deepen their practice by refining familiar poses.
Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Asana, pranayama, and meditation practice rooted in Raja Yoga and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Megan has been a student of yoga since 2001 and has found the journey of yoga to be rich and constantly evolving. She completed a Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher training at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona in 2008. She continued her studies in yoga, completing a Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga. She is a 200hr E-RYT (Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher) with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. She is also currently immersed in a 500hr RYT training program through 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle during which she has had the privilege of studying with Rod Stryker, Shari Friedrichsen, Tias Little and Sarah Powers. Her classes combine ancient yogic wisdom with shamanic teachings, energetic practices and a profound exploration of the subtle body. She loves to bring sound into the studio through the use of voice, tuning forks, and crystal singing bowls, and believes in the power of vibration and yoga to access healing states. She strives to find balance in the yoga studio through classes focused on the lunar and seasonal cycles, and meditation and breathwork geared toward accessing the pranic (energy) body and the chakra system.
