Join Kathleen and Michael Dowd (a dynamic brother and sister yoga teaching team!) for an afternoon of yoga, restoration, connection, gong, and gratitude.

Life can at times seem frustrating or overwhelming. Over time, we can feel discouraged and sometimes even hopeless. There are daily occurrences in the world that can easily be seen as, and experienced through, a lens of negativity or even despair. When our focus moves in this direction, it’s important to find tools that allow us to come back into authenticity and live in our power. Gratitude is one of those tools!

The practice of gratitude helps us alter our perspective on life and cultivate a sense of inner peace. This allows for a more expansive sense of the world, helping us to move forward with strength and love, especially in the face of turmoil. At this point we become agents of uplifting change in the world. With practice, the results are certain. We each have a responsibility to all Life to develop this capacity in ourselves.

This workshop will include restorative yoga, a special guided gratitude meditation, mantra and chanting, along with the healing sound of the gong interwoven throughout (including an extended gong savasana!). Gratitude and restorative yoga are both designed to instill a softening and opening in the body/mind/spirit complex. With practice, gratitude offers the opportunity to have a profound shift in how we live our lives. The gong helps quiet the mind and bring balance to the nervous and glandular systems. By bringing these together, we will strengthen our inner resources and use of these tools and radically change how we show up in the world.
