About the instructor: Brianna Hastings

Brianna HastingsMy name is Bri, and I teach Rasa yoga, an alignment based yoga class infused with asana, mantra, mudra, meditation and pranayama. Rasa yoga is founded by Sianna Sherman, who studied closely with Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar. I have been teaching for five years, and practicing for around 7 years. I teach at the Bala yoga located in Fremont, Seattle Bouldering Project, Summit Everett as well as a donation based class in a public park during the summer seasons.

I have experience in working with private clients on a daily bases. I am inspired by the amount of passion yoga has brought to my life. Some of my most influential teachers include Greta Hill, Naomi Houber, Desiree Rumbaugh and her partner Andrew Rivin.

I Graduated my first 200 RYTT in 2018. Since then I’ve taken another 200 hour training with Greta Hill, as well as my 300 hour RYTT with Greta Hill. Upon graduating my 300 hour, I assisted my teacher with the 200 hour training program in 2023 that is dear to my heart. I am first and foremost a student, and you can expect me to be in some sort of training every so often to continue learning the richness that the teaching of yoga has to offer.

I have focused most of my work on teaching students 1 on 1 as well as teaching at corporations. My greatest passion is truly bringing yoga to every body/soul that wants to learn. I love working with beginners, or people that aren’t ‘yogi’s’ because I have the opportunity to show them that there is a space for them on a mat, and once you have created that space, you have a practice to go back to forever.

You can expect a vinyasa style class with healthy, safe biomechanics, and an uplifting flow with soothing music to help you settle into the present moment during your practice.
