Life Changing Samarya Yoga 2 week Residential Teacher Training

Apr 8, 2016

Event Navigation

Learn to teach yoga safely and joyously to people of all ages and abilities, in a variety of settings, and at any level of intensity or experience. This 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher training program is also the basis for our Integrated Movement Therapy training program, our 500 hour Advanced training or to become a certified Samarya Yoga teacher. We are also a Washington State licensed licensed vocational school.

The Samarya Yoga Teacher Training is unlike any other you will find. With its emphasis on social change, yoga therapy, personal transformation and radical inclusion, the Samarya Yoga Teacher Training is a true reflection of the real meaning and purpose of yoga as a spiritual discipline first and a physical discipline second. Study with a very diverse group of faculty and assistants who each bring their own insight, specialty areas and focus. Lead teacher Molly Lannon Kenny has been teaching yoga for nearly twenty years to students in the most except! ional of circumstances – from end of life care, to bereavement, to Ashtanga primary and second series, to returning veterans, to faculty at Johns Hopkins Medical Center to any BODY you can imagine. Come learn from her depth of experience and the vastness of her heart.

Molly has been published, featured and interviewed in the New York Times, the LA Times, the BBC, Yoga Journal among others and recently published her own essay collection, called No Gurus Came Knocking.

Many well-known teachers endorse her and her book, including Yogarupa Rod Stryker who says:

“Molly Lannon Kenny is a most rare and precious gem in today’s world––piercingly insightful, humble, erudite, generous, unfailingly honest, authentic, loving and, above all else a tireless seeker––for the highest Truth.

No Gurus Came Knocking was a joy to read, a fascinating and crisply written chronicle of one woman’s momentous encounters with life and teachers that would lead to her fully embodying the wisdom and light of yogic teaching.

A revealingly personal tale, it is also profoundly universal, speaking at the heart of what we all must learn if we are to be most fully ourselves and most fully alive.” ~ Yogarupa Rod Stryker
