If you’ve been considering In-Depth Studies or Teacher Training, or have already taken a Foundational 200 hour training but are eager to find out about taking one in Iyengar Yoga. try to attend this sample teacher training class.

These courses are not just for people who want to teach yoga, but also for those who want to learn more about yoga and to develop their personal yoga practice. Iyengar Yoga is known for it’s precision, attention to detail, and alignment, and its use of props making yoga more accessible.

You will find out the difference between the Yoga Teacher Training Courses and the Yoga Practitioner Training Courses which help to develop your personal yoga practice but do not include theory, methodology, philosophy, anatomy, and practice teaching.

About the Teacher: Richard Schachtel

Richard SchachtelRichard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years. He founded The Center For Yoga of Seattle in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in 2017. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 125 recent graduates of this program which is offered also on the weekends, and in 4 week immersions. Richard has taught yoga workshops throughout the USA, at several Iyenger Yoga National Conventions, in Australia and India, and taught this spring in China.
