The intention of this gathering is to explore the writings of spiritual thinker, Michael A. Singer, and his book, “The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself. With the embrace of sangha, we’ll investigate the very individual yet interconnected question, “Who am I”. Through the practice of skillful means, we’ll notice the relationship between ego-based state of labels and current state of consciousness. Akin to all things that ebb + flow, this relationship is no different.

Over 6-weeks we will begin each class with 15min. meditation followed by a discussion of the book. We’ll end our 90min. together with a shorter meditation.

These will be Zoom meet-ups due to the CoVid19 circumstances. Here’s to adaptation! And a silver lining of the Stay Home, Stay Healthy mandate = space is unlimited so invite your spiritual buddy, sister, co-worker or Grandpa Jim. All are welcome.

Pre-registration is required. Upon registration, you’ll receive the Zoom link to reuse for the recurring meetings.

Schedule:
Mondays, 5:30-7:00pm pst
April 6th – May 11th

*May need to skip 4/27, dependent on CoVid19 mandate. If we skip, series will extend to 5/18.

About the instructor: Heather Hested

Heather HestedI first encountered this ancient technology and vast philosophy in college. The flow of life between stillness and vitality created pulsations that uncovered a nectar of liberation, clarity and peace that kept me coming back for more. To me, time on the mat is an invitation to explore; and teaching yoga shares the process of self-discovery with others. Asanas are the physical manifestations of yoga and the tip of the iceberg. Breathwork and meditation invite folks to dive deeper and aid the cessation of the chaos within the mind. It’s not always easy and we don’t always like what we uncover and yet, that’s our truth and with practice, we cultivate a place to call home yoked to our spirit. Together let’s reveal the power of connection, awareness and transformation that is yoga. Together we’ll practice in ways that’ll have you living your yoga until you’re 95yrs. and beyond!

Gratitude shout outs to the yogis and master teachers along the way who have inspired and guided me on my path: Denise Benitez, Bianca Rafferty, Claudette Evans, Amy Arabi, Nicole Bratt, Beth Award and Seattle Yoga Arts (500hr. TT); Molly Lannon Kenny; Seane Corn; Michelle Befus; Theresa Elliott, Kathryn Payne and Pacific Yoga Arts (200hr. TT).
