Restorative Yoga practice consists of adaptations of poses fully supported by props to create a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing. They balance the nervous system and facilitate healing and awareness. These poses are easily adapted for all levels and all bodies and are often used therapeutically. These workshops take into account the time of year and seasonal changes and support the body and mind in the way they experience the transitions in the yearly cycles. No yoga experience necessary, students of all levels are welcome.
Deborah’s Seasonal Restorative Rejuvenation takes place at 8 Limbs Capitol Hill (stairwell access) four times a year around the equinox or solstice. Please save the date for these upcoming workshops: Sunday, June 23 and September 22, 2019.

Deborah provides a focus on using awareness to discover alignment, and exploration of and deep connection to the body’s story, whether in the context of movement or stillness. She believes that the poses are templates for experience, not accomplishments. Well-versed in adapting the practice to the individuals in front of her, passionate about making the practice accessible to everyone, this focus infuses her range of teaching from flow to restorative and therapeutics. A lifelong practitioner, Deborah is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 200/RYT 500 teacher, and an Advanced Teacher of Yoga Therapy through the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy. She is currently pursuing full certification through IAYT (The International Association of Yoga Therapists).
Main Influences/ Styles/Traditions: Iyengar, Vijnana, my children, aspects of Ashtanga, Viniyoga, and Anusara, and most of all, life as a creative and unfolding process.
