Seasonal Vibration Workshop – Changing Seasons with Yin Yoga and Nutrition

Workshop Description:

This workshop is a fall afternoon learning and guided practice celebrating the elements of late fall and all it has to offer. We will nurture both our tissues and our bodies with a yin yoga practice and by learning how and what to eat during this colorful and cozy season.
The workshop will begin with a 20 minute lesson on nutritional wellness support for the fall season leading into the winter season through the lens of traditional Chinese medicine and functional nutrition. A seasonal journal prompt will be given, followed by a 100 minute yoga practice for those yearning for some stillness and rest for the mind, body, and spirit.
Yin yoga is a still form of yoga which helps nourish and hydrate our connective tissues, soothe our nervous system, and cultivate resilience. It is the perfect compliment to our active lives and pursuits, giving us the allowance to slow down.
During our practice, we will passively linger in poses for three to five minutes, with the support of yoga props, to marinate in all the benefits this practice has to offer. Once in the pose, we use simple, guided techniques to support the mind and body to relax and release, just like a strong rooted tree that naturally sheds its leaves from season to season.
This practice is a form of needleless acupuncture, unkinking any energetic blockages that can occur in our bodies to enhance our organ systems and digestion.
This workshop is designed for all ages and stages of yoga practice, including those new to yoga! Practice will be in community with others in the delightful Mind Body Hum space. Let’s gather together and recalibrate once more.
Schedule:  Sunday October 30th 1:30-3:30PM
Cost: 65$
