Join us for a Seattle Yoga News Meet Up with Aya Yoga Oasis on Saturday, April 20th at 2:00 pm.

This free yoga class, put on by Seattle Yoga News and hosted by Aya Yoga Oasis, is the perfect way to connect with your fellow Seattle yoga community. Join us for this heated all-levels flow style class, to connect your breath, body, and mind with the studio owner Carrie Johnson. Stay after for a social hour and a chance to learn more about the new studio joining the community.

About the Teacher: Carrie Johnson
Carrie Johnson Bio

Known for her thoughtful exploration of mindfulness, culture and physicality Carrie had a successful career in biology for over 10 years and she co-authored six peer-reviewed scientific publications. Now, Carrie infuses her yoga classes with sound, scientific principles as well as experimentation in each yoga sequence she creates for her students. Carrie co-founded Nourish Yoga Retreats in 2017 and opened her own public yoga studio, Aya Yoga Oasis, in Burien in 2019.

Ellie Huizenga - Yoga TeacherEllie Huizenga is a Seattle Yoga teacher and a meetup organizer for Seattle Yoga News. Her passion for yoga was ignited when she studied abroad in India during the Spring of 2014. Since then, her love and passion for yoga has only grown. She loves connecting people and she is dedicated to fostering a vibrant local yoga community in the Seattle area.
