About the Teacher : Heather Falkin
Like Heather’s weekly meanderings through the woods, her mat is a place she goes to remember what she is. The practice magically transports her back to a space of receptivity, self-reflection and stillness. She just feels better after yoga and for 20 years has dedicated herself to understanding how the dynamic practices and teachings of the yogic tradition transform us and unite us.
She seeks to merge the old school and the new school approaches to guiding students to a sacred place within themselves. Her classes are rooted in the eight limbs of yoga, Vedic tradition, Hindu mythology, Buddism and the lessons she is constantly receiving from spirit in her daily life. She offers classes that are physically invigorating, mentally clarifying, spiritually awakening and fun. Teaching from her heart to support the needs of the students in the room is her highest goal and her continued self-study and growth is key in reaching it.
When she is not teaching, practicing yoga, and tending to the studio she is tending to her family. I take time for me in the form of reading, walking my dogs and SUP’ing on the sound. Her soul is nourished when she is in the mountains, close to the ocean, traveling, and listening to music.
