Fauzia Lala, owner and operator of Defense Ninjas, a modern martial arts school on Mercer Island, is hosting a 4-week series on self-defense. This holistic approach is open to kids, teenage girls, and womenwho are interested in learning practical, tactical self-defense skills. The physical skills themselves are made more effective by personal growth and empowerment exercises practiced throughout the series.
What should I expect?
+ Class will begin with a HIIT/Zumba warm-up to get the blood flowing and break the ice.
+ Fauzia will teach the skills or techniques you’ll be working with each day. Once everyone has learned the technique, you will practice implementing it through practice drills and Ninja Games.
+ Class will conclude with a meditation, yoga cool down stretching, a quote of the week, and take home empowerment activities to practice until you meet again the following week.

About the instructor: Fauzia Lala
Fauzia Lala has been training in martial arts since 2006. She received her first-degree black belts in Taekwondo and Arnis in 2014 and has been teaching since. Fauzia started her women’s self-defense classes in 2017, where she incorporates techniques from Taekwondo, Arnis, Krav Maga, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hapkido and Aikido
