Fall Yoga Retreat at Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort with Melina Meza and Megan Sloan

Melina and Megan invite you to join them for an unforgettable fall getaway at Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat Center nestled in the heart of Leavenworth, Washington. This luxurious weekend retreat will restore your sense of wellness and health before heading into the holidays.

While on retreat, Melina and Megan will offer a variety of classes including Seasonal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Sound Baths, and morning meditations to help you feel grounded and relaxed in your journey into the autumn and winter seasons. In addition to all the unique yoga classes, you’ll get to enjoy gourmet meals created with the freshest local ingredients served buffet style in the company of other like-minded yogis. Leavenworth is a feast for the senses in November and we believe the perfect place to recharge your physical, emotional, and spiritual batteries.

This year, Melina’s classes will be structured around the Ayurvedic theme, Immune Health, and Winter Wellness. Experiential classes will be offered to help you understand the role each topic plays in upholding your health and vitality. With a unique offering of sound and meditation, Megan will compliment Melina’s offerings, with classes focused on the energy centers of the body as well as evening Sound Baths to help renew and restore. Using guided meditation and crystal singing bowls. Megan will provide the space for deeper personal exploration, as well as the opportunity to hit the reset button on the mind and body. You will leave the retreat feeling nourished and restored after days of yoga to invigorate and enliven the body, and evenings of sound baths to rejuvenate and restore.

The weekend retreat will begin at 4:30 pm on Friday with a yoga asana practice and end on Sunday with lunch. Four two-hour Hatha Yoga classes are offered, as well as morning meditation and pranayama practice, and evening Sound Baths. All meals are included.

Single: $900

Double: $740

Triple: $690

Note: We will do our best to accommodate your rooming preference but cannot guarantee your request. There are a limited number of single and double rooms available. All rooms are dorm style, some with bunk beds and shared bathrooms. Please specify at the time of registration if you have any roommate preferences.

If you register for a double or triple room and do not have roommate(s) with whom you are registering, you may be asked to lodge with a person of the opposite sex. If no one else registers for that room, you will be charged the appropriate rate for your reservation. This forced rate will be applied if your room cannot be filled by September 27, 2019.

Cancellation Policy: Refund of your payment(s) less a $50 cancellation fee until 9/27/2019. No refunds will be given after 9/27/2019.

Sleeping Lady is a beautiful, secluded retreat center situation on 70-acres of meadow and forest along Icicle Creek Canyon in the Cascade Mountains. Melina Meza

 

Melina has been exploring the art and science of yoga and nutrition for over 20 years. She combines her knowledge of Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, whole foods nutrition, and healthy lifestyle promotion into a unique style called Seasonal Vinyasa. Melina’s Seasonal Vinyasa Yoga classes emphasize the teachings of the yogis—that there is no separation between humans and nature, and we are all one. In addition to asana practice, her classes include insights on physical health and nutrition as well as how to inspire self-knowledge that allows for the conscious adjustment of day-to-day choices.

Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Seasonal Vinyasa Yoga & Ayurveda, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Scott Blossom, Sarah Powers, Gary Kraftsow, Jin Sung, Kathleen Hunt.

 

Megan Sloan Yoga SeattleMegan has been a student of yoga since 2001 and has found the journey of yoga to be rich and constantly evolving. She completed a Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher training at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona in 2008. She continued her studies in yoga, completing a Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga. She is a 200hr E-RYT (Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher) with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. She is also currently immersed in a 500hr RYT training program through 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle during which she has had the privilege of studying with Rod Stryker, Shari Friedrichsen, Tias Little and Sarah Powers. Her classes combine ancient yogic wisdom with shamanic teachings, energetic practices and a profound exploration of the subtle body. She loves to bring sound into the studio through the use of voice, tuning forks, and crystal singing bowls, and believes in the power of vibration and yoga to access healing states.She strives to find balance in the yoga studio through classes focused on the lunar and seasonal cycles, and meditation and breathwork geared toward accessing the pranic (energy) body and the chakra system.
