WORKSHOP with Chiara Guerrieri & Megan Sloan

Stressed? Overwhelmed? Exhausted? This workshop offers an experience to reset your nervous system and help your body relax. The combination of the healing effects of the SoMat and the soothing sounds of Sound Bath will offer you a deeply rejuvenating hour, not unlike the benefits of a massage.

Megan Sloan will use crystal singing bowls and the vibrational qualities of sound to help release energy that is no longer needed and move you into a deeper state of healing and relaxation. Chiara Guerrieri will introduce the SoMat—a specially designed self-care tool crafted in Italy and finding its way to the U.S. The SoMat promotes alignment and relieves deeply-held stress as the spine decompresses, thinking slows and your nervous system settles down.

Take a break from life’s demands and come experience a restorative hour combining two captivating and innovative techniques that will leave you feeling profoundly refreshed and renewed.

Tuition: $30

Please note that parking can sometimes be challenging in Capitol Hill on a Friday night; please plan ample time for parking.

About the Teachers:

Chiara Guerrieri Yoga Teacher Seattle

Chiara Guerrieri

What to expect in Chiara’s Classes: Chiara teaches us how to connect with the body through the breath, how to track physical sensation moment to moment and how to find an internal sense that guides movement and choices for wellbeing. In both her SoulMat & Hatha yoga classes, expect to go slowly, to pay attention to your body and breath, and to explore alignment. An important aspect of Chiara’s teaching is to help students learn when – and from where – to stabilize or mobilize. Expect the wisdom of a 30-year teaching career, plus a good dose of humor, to infuse each class.

Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: SoulMat with Patrizia Gavoni, Hatha Yoga with Bob Smith, Forrest Yoga with Ana Forrest, Shari Fredrickson, ParaYoga with Rod Stryker, and dance from around the world.
