Sound Bath with Megan Sloan
April 19 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm
One event on May 17, 2019 at 6:15pm
Join Megan each month for an evening of relaxation. These unique events are perfect for anyone looking for an opportunity to relax and unwind.
Curious about what to expect? The evening will open with a meditation to help activate energy centers in the body and allow for a time to set intentions. Students will then be invited into a supported savasana (a reclining position with the support of yoga props), during which Megan will play crystal singing bowls to help bring them into a deeper state of relaxation and healing. This practice uses the power of sound and vibration to help the body and nervous system relax, much like a massage might do, and students often report that following a sound bath they feel clearer, calmer and sometimes report decreases in physical body pain and often a better night’s sleep
The evening will close with a silent meditation to help bring balance to the system after the experience of so much sound and also allow time for personal reflection and exploration.
Date: Apr 19th, 2019.
From: 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM
**Registration & refund policy: if you cancel less than 72 hours before the workshop begins, your funds may ONLY be returned to your Yogabliss MindBody Account for future use at Yogabliss. If you wish to cancel with more than 72 hours’ notice, you will be refunded in full via your original payment method.**
About the instructor: Megan Sloan
I have been a student of yoga since 2001, teaching since 2008, and have found the journey of yoga to be rich and constantly evolving. My classes combine ancient yogic wisdom with shamanic teachings, energetic practices and a profound exploration of the subtle body. I love to bring sound into the studio through the use of crystal singing bowls, and believe in the power of vibration and yoga to access healing states.
My classes are accessible to all levels of students, from students just beginning their yoga journey to students looking for a deeper exploration of practice. My classes vary from gentle to vigorous flow and I am adept at teaching to the level of student that shows up to class. I strive to offer creative sequencing, challenge to students desiring to go deeper and accessibility to those just getting started. I offer classes focused on the lunar and seasonal cycles, and meditation and breathwork geared toward accessing the pranic (energy) body and the chakra system.
