Join McKenzie Riepen for an evening of Rest, Relaxation & Healing Restorative yoga and meditation. McKenzie will guide you through breathwork and sound into a deep, meditative “theta state” so that your central nervous system can relax, leading to the release of physical tension and elevation in your mood.
A sound bath is a full-body experience where the participants are “bathed” in sound waves while lying comfortably on their mats in suggested restorative shapes, supported by cushions, blankets, and other comfortable props.
The sound waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles and tuning forks. Sound baths are considered a healing modality that may reduce pain, elevate mood, relieve stress, and deepen the mind-body connection.
The experience may begin with breathwork and/or very gentle movement to prepare the body and mind, followed by a sequence of restorative postures during the sound immersion. In order to ensure the best experience for all, please allow yourself enough time to arrive, set up any props you choose, and be on your mat by 7pm or you may be denied entry.
Investment is $38 per person and current Aya Members save 10%.
