“Stillness is one of the doors into the temple.” ~ Mary Oliver

Clinical research shows when individuals practice mindfulness they become more present, leading to decreased stress, enhanced emotional equilibrium and creativity, deeper capacity to focus, and more effective communication. Yin Yoga provides a balance to the pace of modern living, restoring your natural energy. In this beautiful, meditative, and centering yoga practice, poses are held for several minutes, which stimulates the deeper tissues (the fascia, ligaments, tendons and bones).
Join me to explore and experience the benefits of both of these practices. We’ll practice several ancient techniques to calm the mind and soothe the nervous system, techniques that you can take off your mat and into your life. Combining mindfulness practices with yin yoga, we will cultivate relaxation, softening the heart space and unraveling tension, which helps to activate the body’s healing response, nourish connective tissue and support emotional equilibrium. You can expect to leave with a deeper sense of balance and ease.

Date: Sunday, June 2nd

About the instructor:   Leah Adams

leah adams

Leah Adams is a humble healer and one of Seattle’s most dedicated yoga practitioners. While she won’t receive compliments without honoring her teachers, she is a clear stand-out in Seattle’s Yin Yoga and Ayurveda knowledge.

Canadian-born with a profound interest in eastern medicine, Leah is one of the few local instructors that is consistently diligent about uncovering the truth about yogic practices. She walks the walk! Leah effortlessly blends her interests in nature and the sciences with powerful yin yoga practices and ancient yoga techniques. Everything she does is intentional and you can feel that in her workshops and classes.

Leah is a rare pick because she’s also one of the Craft Chosen Ones – she leads Ayruveda, Yin, and Pranayma for our yoga teacher training program.
