Yoga Tune Up® for Stress Relief
New to Yoga Tune Up®? This style is an accessible and empowering integration of techniques and knowledge drawn from yoga, physical therapy and massage therapy that effectively reduces pain and stress, improves athletic performance and recovery and enhances quality of life for yogis and non-yogis alike. In this Yoga Tune Up® class we push “un-do”, freeing ourselves from tangly stress patterns and tension that cause and are caused by stuck connective tissue. We will roll with pliable and grippy Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls that bring relief, awareness and understanding to our painful places of muscle and fascial holding. Through self-massage, corrective movement, and breath work, we will open space for a renewed and better way of being and you will receive the guidance you need to begin integrating Yoga Tune Up® ball therapy into your home practice.
Bio: I’m Betsy Shilling, a soul-adventurer and lover of life in all its forms. It is my passion and great joy to journey alongside you supporting your growth and renewal in mind, body and soul. I first began exploring the ancient healing arts as a child, studying and teaching martial arts. This led me to research and teach meditation and to an undergraduate focus in psychology and psychobiology. Today, my yoga practice is the fullest expression of my gifts and studies. I currently specialize in myofascial release with Yoga Tune Up® Therapy and Vedic Thai Yoga and in Prana Flow inspired Bhakti Vinyasa Yoga. Deep bows to my most loved and inspiring teachers: Master Bong Yom, Cosetta Romani, Shiva Rea, Jill Miller, Amber Tande, Liz Doyle, Mukti Michael Buck, and of course, Sat Guru.
