Spring Awakening Extended Practice. Yin yoga + Essential oils
Apr 8, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
| $45Event Navigation

According to Ayurvedic philosophy, Spring is about the Kapha(water/earth) moving into a Pitta(fire/water) phase. The key for health during this transition time is to release the excess accumulation from the winter in order to create space for new intentions and routines for the next few months.
Yin yoga is a practice of long-held floor poses that are deeply nourishing physically, energetically, and emotionally. This practice cultivates a sense of calm, ease, and inner stillness while promoting circulation in your muscles and tissues. Yin has roots in Taoist yoga and the theory of the meridians.
In this workshop, we will focus on nourishing the liver and the gallbladder. In the spirit of this, we will focus our practice on the inner and outer leg lines to access the liver and gallbladder energy channels. These organs help with the digestion and processing of substances. Once the energy is free in the lower body, it will then be able to flow throughout the body in a more balanced way.
Everyone will receive a sample of lemongrass essential oil to use throughout the practice. Lemongrass has a refreshing citrus, herbaceous scent that offers purifying benefits for the skin, and promotes a positive outlook. These practices together will increase our enthusiasm for this new season.
Schedule: Apr 08, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Price of this module: $45
