Spring Equinox Yin Yoga and Sound Bath with Nancy Lea in Queen Anne

Spring is a time of renewal, growth, and expansion both in nature and in our bodies. It provides us with an opportunity to shed and clear out any stagnant energy in the body as well as negative emotions such as rigidity. anger and frustration. In Chinese Medicine, the element of wood is associated with spring and represents upward movement, strong roots, flexibility and the ability to move around obstacles towards the light. In our bodies, we may feel a surge of energy, an urge to make plans, embrace change and opportunity.

Our Yin practice will focus on clearing the liver and gall bladder meridian lines, which support the digestive and detoxification functions in the body. Through this process we will restore balance in the body and mind, clear the central energy channels and restore the healthy flow of Qi.

Class will end with a restorative and supported savasana and relaxing sound bath to soothe the soul.

Date & Time:

  • Friday, March 20th, 2020
  • From 7:30pm – 9pm

Cost: $30

About the instructor: Nancy Lea

Nancy Lea

I began practicing yoga in 2001 as a way to strengthen my body after the birth of my first son. I discovered a life altering way to focus my mind through breathing and movement. Knowing firsthand the transformative power of yoga, I became passionate about guiding others through their journey. I completed my 200-hour training and began teaching in 2012. My intent is to always teach with honesty, a sense of humor and an open heart.

My classes are very grounding and fluid. I accommodate all levels, offering modifications where needed as well as opportunities for deepening. Through clear instruction and an exploration of the eightfold path of Ashtanga yoga, I challenge my students to move beyond the physical practice and understand the impact that cultivating self-love and awareness has off the mat. I work within the framework of a philosophical theme and/or work towards a peak pose
