Restorative yoga is a strong tool for regulating your nervous system (i.e. feeling less stressed), calming chronic pain, and getting better sleep.
It’s so easy to burn out. Many of us spend so much of our time working, caretaking, and being productive that we end up feeling depleted. In an effort to feel better, we may turn to behaviors that leave us feeling even more spent. Sleep can become challenging, anxieties can ramp up, and relationships may feel strained. Can you relate?
This Restorative Workshop is an act of radical self-care! Restorative yoga practice uses passive poses supported by cushions and blankets to coax you into a greater sense of ease and recharge your batteries. Come to this workshop to be soothed.
Please arrive fed and dressed in warm, comfy clothing. No previous yoga experience necessary.
Lasara’s Restorative Workshop takes place monthly on Saturdays, alternating between Wedgwood and Phinney Ridge. Please save the date for these upcoming workshops: April 11, and May 9, 2020, and at CAPITOL HILL, March 28 and May 30 with Claudette Evans.

About the instructor: Lasara Jarvis
What to expect in Lasara’s classes: Lasara is a playful and inclusive teacher. Her style is eclectic, drawing from Vinyasa, Anusara, Viniyoga, and Yoga Nidra. The pace of Lasara’s class is slower but challenging. Expect a music-free practice focused on integrating movement and breath, building strength and postural awareness, and enhanced quality of attention.
Lasara attended an arts-based high school which required her to teach regular classes as a part of her own education. She has been teaching one thing or another since she was 13 years old, and this lucky experience has bred in her a natural, instinctive presence in the classroom.
Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Contemporary dance, Seasonal Vinyasa with Melina Meza, Para Yoga with Rod Stryker, Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Hatha Yoga with Beth Award and Sally Carley.
