Summer Yin Practice and Sound Bath for Heart Balance

Join Nancy for a yin practice and sound bath to open and nourish the energetic meridians of the heart and small intestine. The heart houses our Shen…our radiance, spirit and divine spark. The small intestine acts as the gatekeeper for the body, mind and heart, choosing what to let in and what to filter out. We want these energetic channels to be open and nourished so that we can stay connected to our center and maintain our brilliance in this very social time of year.

Yin is the practice of holding the body in stillness, allowing the deep connective tissues to soften, the energetic pathways to open, and the mind the opportunity to explore mindfulness and centering.

Sound healing is an ancient practice that helps bring your energy field and vibrational frequency back into harmony.

The two together allow for a deeply relaxing and transformative experience.

About the instructor: Nancy Lea

Nancy Lea

I began practicing yoga in 2001 as a way to strengthen my body after the birth of my first son. I discovered a life altering way to focus my mind through breathing and movement. Knowing firsthand the transformative power of yoga, I became passionate about guiding others through their journey. I completed my 200-hour training and began teaching in 2012. My intent is to always teach with honesty, a sense of humor and an open heart.

My classes are very grounding and fluid. I accommodate all levels, offering modifications where needed as well as opportunities for deepening. Through clear instruction and an exploration of the eightfold path of Ashtanga yoga, I challenge my students to move beyond the physical practice and understand the impact that cultivating self-love and awareness has off the mat. I work within the framework of a philosophical theme and/or work towards a peak pose
