Virtually all trainings are exclusive to one studio and one community and often one instructor. While this approach to training enriches the studio, it fails to connect the trainees to the broader yoga community and the reality of teaching yoga.

There are fantastic experienced instructors throughout Seattle, and learning from each other is the best way to grow. What if a teacher training program connected many neighborhoods, many studios and several influential instructors?

Welcome to a unique training experience: the Craft of Teaching Yoga.

Trainees emerge from this program equipped to lead intelligent, creative, musical and meaningful vinyasa flow. We dive deep into sequencing, anatomy, yoga history and mythology, theming, and hands-on assists.

We take weekly “yoga field trips” together to experience and discuss influential instructors throughout Seattle. Trainees are encouraged to draw inspiration for flow sequencing from many studios and many styles.

This program empowers trainees to approach teaching yoga with the mind and heart of an artist. We balance technique with intuition, we contrast skill with innovation, and we discover fluid artistic expression within the grounded structure of asana, anatomy and history.
