Join yoga instructors Inga Rouches and Diana Bonyhadi and warm up your bodies after a long cold winter at a 7-day yoga retreat (April 8th – 15th, 2017) on the tropical island of Roatan. You will be the guests of the remote Paya Bay Resort, located on the less populated side of the island. Inga and Diana will lead a yoga practice each morning and evening in a hill top yoga studio with a bird’s eye ocean view. Inga and Diana have been teaching for over 10 years and are dedicated practitioners who encourage students to nourish and honor their bodies through the practice of yoga, pranayama and meditation. Their love and respect for this tradition is manifested in the careful construction of their classes which recognize the uniqueness of every body and the individual potential for wholeness and well being. The morning yoga will be followed by a fresh island brunch. The day is yours to enjoy exploring the island by land or on water or lounging in a beach chaise. The yoga retreat starts Saturday 4 pm and ends Saturday after brunch at around 11 am.  All levels welcome.

A bit about Inga: Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have had many influences of wonderful teachers and have explored lots of yoga styles including Iyengar Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I have gleaned what works for me and used that in my practice and that is what I encourage my students to do. By exploring different asanas and listening to your body you will learn to listen to your body – the real teacher. Honor where you are at and let your breath guide you as you dive into your inner world. Who knows what you will discover? I love seeing the evolution of yoga in myself and in others and look forward to sharing the experience of yoga in the beautiful setting of Paya Bay with you. Together we will meditate, move, breathe, stretch, and strengthen our bodies and minds as we soak in the beauty of the tropical nature. This is the most beautiful yoga studio I have been in – nestled amongst the tropical flora and fauna, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The sounds of the birds, waves, and wind will serve as the background music to our daily practices.

A bit about Diana: Diana Bonyhadi has been practicing yoga for over twenty years and has been teaching for ten. Her style reflects her commitment to wholeness, through strength, flexibility and self-awareness. Her classes draw upon the wisdom and teachings of the Hatha, Iyengar, Ayurvedic, Anusara and Vinyasa yoga traditions. She has studied with many exceptional teachers, including; Theresa Elliott, Kathryn Payne, Kelly Rush, Anna Forest, Sara Powers, Denise Benitez, Aadil Palkhivala & Rodney Yee. She continues her studies in yoga therapeutics, anatomy & wellness with both Doug Keller and Judith Lassiter. Ever the yoga nerd, she also participates in sutra study groups exploring the sutras of Pantanjali, Abinavagupta, Pratyabhijna-hrdayam and the Upanishads. One of Diana’s most unique and powerful strengths is working with students to personalize their practice to address specific health concerns. She encouragies students to reach, relax, and laugh as they explore the infinite possibilities of yoga.
