In the Flow: Vinyasa
This vinyasa class will consist of continuous practice, breath and movement, creative sequencing, and clear instructions. Come ready to play hard in sun salutations, standing poses and core work. Bring a towel.
FRIDAY, MAY 13 | 7:00 – 9:00pm
Inner Worlds
In this quiet, contemplative practice, we will dive into inner depths while practicing forward bends, hip openers and twists, pranayama and meditation. In this exploration of hip openers and lower body principles of alignment, you will cultivate the seeds of unfolding. This session will increase awareness, alignment and opening in your lower body, to perform forward bends, twists and seek to bring you to a blissful place of love, inner sweetness and intoxication.
SATURDAY, MAY 14 | 11:30am – 2:00pm
Fly- Arm Balances, Inversions & More
We will deconstruct hand balancing poses and inversions to make them approachable for all levels. This class layers core work with hip openers, standing poses, and forward bends to launch you into the graceful power for hand balancing postures and to link these postures together and move more easily through hand balancing transitions.
SATURDAY, MAY 14 | 3:30 – 6:30pm
Vinyasa Krama Teacher’s Workshop
This intensive (for committed students and teachers) dives deeply into all things vinyasa with a mix of theory, analysis, practice and practicum. Acquire relevant and practical tools and techniques to implement immediately. Explore organizing principles of vinyasa practice and how to best accomplish these: pacing, rhythm, breath, bandhas, smooth choreography and well aligned poses. Focus on pranayama and the effective use of breath as your primary source of support. Craft intelligent, effective, creative sequences in concert with form, foundation, and precision. Learn and refine sequencing strategies for level 1/2 (HOW to practice vinyasa) and level 2/3 (BUILD sets of linked poses to peak sequences) vinyasa classes and practice. Dive deeply into the methodology of verbal instruction, demonstration, observation, applied anatomy, and strategies for helping students with pose improvement without compromising the movement or integrity of vinyasa.. Analyze when to use props, and hands on adjustments in the context of a vinyasa class. Noah will teach some short classes throughout the day to illustrate skills, but expect to be immersed in a learning environment for this day’s session.
SUNDAY, MAY 15 | 11:30am – 2:00pm
