Be in an exclusive Yoga Teacher Training with Seattle’s Most Experienced Yoga Teacher Trainer. You will be learning the fundamentals of the most respected and influential method of practicing and teaching yoga: Iyengar Style Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is known for its emphasis on precision of alignment in doing the poses, its attention to detail, its thoughtful sequencing, its accessibility, its brilliant usages of props, and timings. It is the art of yoga practice.
The course is for those who want to teach yoga, for those who want to develop a yoga practice, and for those wanting to deepen their existing practice of yoga. The course is also for yoga teachers who want to broaden their experience by learning some to the fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga Practice and to Further Develop their Yoga Teaching Skills. This course is also offered weekly during a Weekday Evening (6:00 pm – 10:00 pm) as well as during a Weekday Course (10:00 am – 2:00 pm).
Schedule:

- This weekend training meets mostly on Saturdays from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm with several Sundays from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm as well.
You will be in a course with students from around the Whole Puget Sound Region: from Tacoma, Puyallup, Bellevue, Kirkland, Poulsbo, Everett, Bonney Lake, as well as from Seattle proper.

About the Teacher: Richard Schachtel
Richard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years which emphasis developing a practice with a high degree of precision of alignment. He founded The Center For Yoga of Seattle in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in December 2017. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 125 recent graduates of this program which is offered also on the weekends, and in 4 week immersions.
