This winter, we invite you to Retreat ~ to settle in and unwind in nature’s splendor. To slow down, take time to reset, and savor the calm tranquility of a Northwest Winter.

Join us for a stay-cation at Harmony Hill on the Hood Canal, a retreat center just 2-hours from Seattle. Harmony Hill is a sacred place where time moves a bit slower and life feels a little simpler. This is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of your daily life and dive a little deeper into your yoga practice. . .

When we are seeking, it is often difficult to unearth what is needed. Our yoga practice invites us in. It can be sneaky, so we begin slowly. . . getting quiet and tuning into our inner world. We use our body as a tool, learning to adapt, work with challenges and remain present. Overtime, we find ourselves in that special place between effort & ease where we can ‘listen in’ to know what is next. Join us as we slow down and learn for ourselves, what the stillness of winter is inspiring.

This is your personal retreat; there are no strict schedules. At the heart of our weekend will be an inward focus, a space that is encouraging, yet restful. There will be opportunities to go on hikes, walk the labyrinth at Harmony Hill, take a “polar bear plunge”, or simply relax in the serenity of the Hood Canal.

Yoga will be offered twice per day, our intention will be grounding into winter. The morning sessions will be an extended practice that is strong, awakening, and centering. Each afternoon, there will be a workshop and discussion. Richard’s practices are meant to meet you where you are, no need to contort yourself into a pretzel 😉 Richard will support you in finding what brings you joy in your own yoga practice.

Come tune into the quiet whispers of winter, feel your breath, move your body, get still and listen in.

About the instructor: Richard Guevara

Richard Guevara - Yoga Seattle

Richard Guevara is certified to instruct and guide his students through alignment based vinyasa and restorative yoga. He completed two separate 200 RYT trainings, including Annie Carpenter’s SmartFlow training. He plans to complete his 500 hour certification within the year.

As a former athlete who suffered multiple injuries resulting in chronic pain, he found comfort and relief through his yoga practice. It became such a vital part of his life that he decided to enroll in teacher training; he has been an active instructor ever since. His style of yoga is smooth, alignment-based and favors breath over movement. He believes each movement is a pose in itself stemming from the core.  He avidly believes in yoga’s ability to restore and heal the body as well as the mind. Richard loves to challenge his students and show that regardless of fitness level, anything is possible with practice. He also aims to have his students leave his class energized with renewed or continued faith in their ability to find comfort and release in his sessions.

Richard is an avid Pacific North West overall outdoor enthusiast as well as a mountaineer, passionate climber, acroyogi, and cyclist. You can count on finding him outside rain or shine.
