Worrier to Warrior – A Workshop to Soothe the Anxious Mind and Body

The Worrier to Warrior workshop was created by international teacher, Lisa Dumas, who conquered disordered anxiety and panic through her own practice of yoga, meditation and techniques that aid in uncovering the roots of anxiety. Attain the tool box of practices Lisa collected on her path, including gentle yoga, intentional movement, breath work designed to calm the nervous system, meditations, visualizations, self-inquiry and contemplative journaling.
You will learn to become present and calm within your body, manage your mind, work WITH emotions and reconnect with the part of you that isn’t afraid. No previous yoga experience is required. The Worrier to Warrior workshop is a journey of self-discovery and radical self-care. Please bring a journal and pen.
About the Teacher: Lisa Dumas
Something needed to change. Each day my thoughts assaulted me, reminding me of all the ways I wasn’t measuring up, frightening me with images of doom and illness. I was trapped in disordered anxiety and my life got very small. Fear caused me to retreat from many aspects of a fully engaged existence. The edges of each day blurred while I anesthetized my worries with alcohol, the only way I knew to experience a few hours of freedom. Until yoga.
