Earth: explore the connection between Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yoga Asana, and Modern Biology during this 40 hour yin yoga training with Carrie Johnson at Aya Yoga Oasis.

This training is for all yoga practitioners who wish to understand the anatomy and philosophy behind the practice of yin yoga, to deepen your personal practice, and it is also designed for certified yoga teachers who wish to offer to begin teaching yin yoga classes.

The EARTH training will span 2 weekends and cover:

Yin/Yang theory
Chinese Meridian Theory
Anatomy of yin tissues
Yoga poses and modifications for all body types
Theming a yin yoga class through intelligent layering
The art of silence
Yin teaching practicum
Extended Yin yoga practices each day

Friday, May 1, 5-9pm
Saturday, May 2, 9am-6pm
Sunday, May 3, 11am-6:45pm
Friday, May 15, 5-9pm
Saturday, May 16, 9am-6pm
Sunday, May 17, 11am-6:45pm

Each participant will receive a copy of Carrie’s extensive EARTH manual with poses, class outlines, and everything you need to start teaching yin classes. To prepare for the training, it is recommended that you read The Complete Guide to Yin Yoga by Bernie Clark. A copy of this book is available to borrow in the Aya Yoga Oasis library.

The cost is $795 until March 31, 2020 and $845 after. This cost includes a non-refundable $100 deposit. To inquire about a payment plan, please email info@ayayogaoasis.com.

This training counts as 40 CEU credits with the Yoga Alliance.

Cancellation policy: Refunds allowed up until 14 days prior to training  minus the non-refundable deposit.

Carrie Johnson Bio

 

 

Carrie Johnson is the owner of Aya Yoga Oasis, a certified yoga instructor (E-RYT200 and YACEP), and an adventurous world explorer. Carrie enjoys exploring new cultures and new places, while keeping an open mind to new possibilities.

Carrie is also very passionate about sharing yoga with her students in a way that allows them to cultivate the art of listening to their body. Every class she teaches allows time for each student to experiment and to learn something new about themselves.
