Yin yoga works deeply into our body and mind with passive, longer-held poses. It helps to build resilience within the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is in contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles. It is also a great practice for slowing down the mind and being present with oneself. You will likely leave class feeling like you just had a deep tissue massage. Last Yin class of each month incorporates singing bowls sound bath.
