This six day (April 15th- 20th) training retreat is for yoga teachers, therapists, hospice workers, chaplains, clinicians and others in pastoral care, or for those simply interested in learning more about being with people at the end of life, offering solace, presence and appropriate movement and touch.

This retreat has also greatly benefitted people who are in bereavement, processing past or future losses, and those wishing to increase and deepen their spiritual life and connection to divine presence.

We will look at three broad topic areas of yoga: self- study, movement and breath and contemplative tradition – and explore how each aspect has something unique and powerful to offer in end of life care. We will then learn and practice specific techniques within each of these areas, including basic Thai yoga compressions and gentle passive stretching.

When we are not together practicing in the gorgeous wood studio overlooking the ocean, or eating fresh wholesome food family style, participants will have plenty of time to lounge on the private beach in the jungle, swim, kayak, hike to hidden clay pots where you can dig cool clay to rub on your body and refresh your skin, visit a nearby Orchid farm, or simply swing in the hammock.

This retreat is limited to 6 people. There are 2 double and two single rooms. If there is a group of 4 people who want to come together and stay in a 4 person room, we do have this available at a reduced rate. Single room rate is $1950, double $1700, early registration, if paid in full by February 15. After February 15, 2019, rates increase to: Single room rate of $2250, double $2000. $500 non-refundable deposit may be paid to ensure your spot.

Here’s what past participants are saying:

I had a powerful experience at the Bedside Yoga retreat. The content, Molly’s heartfelt teaching methods, and the connection of our intimate group was truly inspiring. All of this with the backdrop of the secluded beach and the ocean as our companion made for a life changing experience. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone who is interested in providing support for those at end of life
